The newest member of the Sugar Shack family is Daleth Karl who describes himself as a new school reggae artist, drawing on his life experiences to spread a message of love and peace that will bring people together through music. Daleth hails from Solihull a town just south of Birmingham in England's West Midlands. Coming from a musical family, the young Daleth was always singing and dancing as well as singing in his church's choir from age 6 to 15 and learning to play instruments. His mother's love of older music saw him exposed to a wide selection of classic popular music from the 1950s and beyond.

Although he drifted away from music as a teenager, by his early twenties Daleth had once more become involved as he began to MC and sing at drum and bass nights as well as securing a college place to study drama and music. Daleth left college with a diploma in performing arts and acting as well as the experience of recording his first single under his belt.

Around this time Daleth also fully embraced Rastafarianism gaining strength and independence from its teachings. His newly increased spiritual awareness started manifesting itself in his songs, his music growing alongside his spiritual exploration.

At the age of 23 Daleth relocated to France to continue studying music. He also joined a French reggae band Idrenites giving Daleth a platform to deliver his message of peace and unity. The band played numerous gigs around Paris, the live shows helping Daleth to grow in confidence; his time with Idrenites also saw him master the guitar. Although the band went their separate ways, Daleth was signed up by French label Lorsonic who gave him the opportunity to record five songs for his first EP. Since then, Daleth has continued to mature as a writer and performer, his music ranging from the political to a more soulful popular form of reggae.

Daleth's first release on Sugar Shack is a digital single “People” / “People Dub” and we've called in a host of Bristol talent to collaborate. These include Laid Blak's Joe Peng adding his MC skills, with engineering and production duties taken care of by Chris Potter, former member of both Talisman and Zion Band. For this release, the mixing and additional engineering duties are taken care of by Rob Smith, also a former member of Zion Band but best known as the foundation of Smith & Mighty, More Rockers and here RSD - one of the world's leading dub step and dub producers.

With so much talent involved, the vocal is an upbeat and catchy burst of pure good vibes reggae guaranteed to appeal to the widest range of listeners whilst the dub version, takes on a slightly darker tone and explores a different musical direction.

The single is released on 28th April 2014 and available to download from iTunes and all leading digital platforms.
